Price Cutter Weekly Ad
Price Cutter is an employee owned green grocer whose beginnings started with a man called John Ramey. In 1919 he opened eight small grocery stores in Springfield, Missouri. In 1939, he consolidated all eight stores to open the first modern supermarket in his area. It was initially called the Ramey Supermarket. Investors took notice and in 1967 Roswill Inc. owned by the Cohen family from Maryland bought the Ramey supermarket and made Richard Taylor store manager. It was not until 1999 though when the name of the supermarket was changed to Price Cutter supermarket. Some of the products that are available in the store are Bistro to Go, a restaurant that offers home cooked meals for the busy family. Midwest Reserve offers a range of beef products. Lilly’s Floral supplies a range of international flowers not available in Southwest Missouri. Colombian chocolate offers a range of high quality chocolate. These are just some of the products available at Price Cutter.
